Wedding guests only like to receive two types of gifts . .

(1) Something edible, and preferably homemade

(2) Something useful . . like a nice bud vase

Cute items are usually left on the reception dinner table or thrown out when the guest gets home.

Useful favors are always the best ones. Gel candles and bath salts sound great – for a beach themed wedding. Maybe don’t give both to everyone, but alternate each place setting with a candle and the salts. I think it sounds like a great idea though!!

I’m a HUGE fan of when the bride and groom make a donation to a charity in leiu of favors…that’s what my husband and I did. We gave our guests the website where they could donate to as well….they thought it was a lovely idea.

Kansieo.com Stick with something edible, a charitable donation, or something optional like a caricature artist. The sad truth is that anything else gets left behind or thrown in the trash. If you have the extra money to spend then go for it but otherwise the money would be much better spent elsewhere on the wedding that the guests would appreciate more like better food or drinks.

The second one is nicer
I dont really prefer makeup as a gift. Maybe they are telling you,you needto wear less or more etc etc and I like choosing my own Saves them money also!
