My colors were red and white and I used red roses also. For the head table I had vases spread out evenly with a small amount of water in them. The bridemaids put their flowers in the vases when they got to the reception. I put mine right in the middle. It makes for a centerpiece and a convenient place for everyone to keep their flowers. At the guest tables I varied the heights of my centerpieces. I had short ones and tall one scattered. I used eiffle tower vases with a silk floral arangement in it on round mirror, and scattered petals at the bottom, then I had small tea lights on the table. On the short tables I had square vases with real red roses in them and I tried a black ribbon around them. I also put them on mirrors and scattered the petals on these tables.

I have a lot of pictures from my reception, if you would like to see some just send me your email address.

Depending on what season, you could use white, silver, or gold candles, floating, tapers, or even tea lights, with just the rose petals scattered on the tables. Really nice effect. Another idea containers of red candies at each place setting with a place card. If you are incorporating another color for the dresses, try to compliment it with a neutral and use at the table. Use your imagination to make it your own.

Good luck.

<a href="http://kansieo.com">gel candles</a>

What types of centerpieces do you want? Do you want something floral - or something like floating candles?

For the tables I would scatter red rose petals around whatever centerpiece you decide to go with. The red rose petals are very elegant and add a nice touch.
Here are a few ideas that you might be able to use for your centerpieces:

You could use floating candle bowls. Put a few rose heads in it, floating among white floating candles.

My wedding colors were black, with red as an accent color. We made topiaries for our centerpieces, and they turned out really beautiful, and were very unique. We painted clay flower pots black, and cut floral foam to sit inside it. You paint a dow rod brown, and stick it inside the foam. On the top, you use a round foam floral ball, and cover is with red silk flower heads (roses would work well). Insert the dow rod into the flower ball. A few green leaves aroung the base of the flower ball, and green moss around the base to cover the top of the pot, and you've got a topiary. We placed one on top of a square mirror on every table, with candles sitting in each corner of the mirror.

Red roses would be pretty. For cheap vases, consider buying a bunch of plain white large chinese takeout containers, and arranging the flowers in these (I've done this before for asian themed parties, and they work beautifully. Or, if you'd rather not use flowers, decorate with candies and chocolates wrapped in red foil. I like tea light candles, no matter what the theme of a wedding, because they add a romantic feel to the event. Also, if you like the idea of red roses to decorate, but don't want to spend the big $$$ to buy them all, consider decorating with red rose petals, sprinkled across white tablecloths, with tea light candles - romantic, beautiful and relatively cheap as just a few roses will cover each table.

See Shaped Red Rose Fragrance Gel Candle here:

A bride I know used framed engagement photos of the couple to decorate the tables . . . laying red roses around the photos.

I would have red roses! In nice vases or those tiny little clear glass square vases that you put the rose buds in. You could do bouquets or arrnagements of roses or you could get mini-rose topiaries in the shape of hearts! That would be cute and you could replant them.

Good luck!
